These works! for dowels

You can buy these plastic dowels but don't worry - they always break and fall out when you try to install them. These guys go in easily and hold up well when tightening the included screws. I'm a contractor and this is my method of hanging things on drywall or plaster. Throw away the molybdenum bolts and expansion bolts and use them. (For heavier loads, use Wing-It.)
