It can be used to read both room temperature and body temperature with one button that you can switch between each other depending on your use. It also has a Celsius/Fahrenheit switch. I personally prefer the Celsius scale, but everyone else in my family prefers the Fahrenheit scale. I don't know why lol. If you need a memory function, you can try that too, but I don't really need such a function. All in all, this is definitely a great product for my family and I think my boyfriend will love it too.
