Safer option, *very* thick, even for zinc sunscreen, water resistant 80 minutes. Beach vacation, no burn.

First, the EWG ranks it as a safer, less expensive sunscreen option. We have just wrapped up a beach vacation with this product on ourselves and my son's legs, arms, neck and face and my husband's shoulders, neck and face. It's too thick to apply to my husband's arms and legs where body hair grows. I'm used to thick sunscreens with zinc, but it's very thick and definitely leaves a pallor on a person's skin. It's about as thick as a ThinkBaby sunscreen, maybe a little thicker. Shadows of it remain even after a shower if a person does not know how to rub it, i.e. It remains on the neck even after a shower. On the plus side, this product is waterproof for up to 80 minutes and we didn't burn it. year, despite every day at the beach. Last year I misunderstood the labeling of Blue Lizard Baby and Sensitive Skin (also an EWG safe choice) and misunderstood that these products were only waterproof for up to 40 minutes and were not reapplied when needed and my husband actually got burned . As a side note, the Blue Lizard Baby and Sensitive Skin Zinc products are a little thinner than this product, I would have preferred them other than being waterproof. All in all it's a win because we didn't burn out and we'll use it again next time. Year.
