I'm very happy with the purchase of these speakers. They deliver a lot of quality sound for the price and size. I bought them to play mostly rock music on the turntable. For tiny lunch box speakers they are well balanced. I can get pretty good highs and lows from the built-in laptops and they don't sound overly muddled or shrill. The volume is good too. They're not loud enough to get angry and drown out the sound of the cops knocking on your door, but to relax around the house I never turn the volume up more than halfway. Not needing a separate amplifier saves space, and it's good that there are two input channels - I bought a Bluetooth dongle to connect to Line 2 so I don't have to worry about my portable's batteries draining speakers go out. The only disappointment is that if you want to play vinyl at more volume than you can with a mouse, you'll need a phono preamp. I should have known that, but I didn't think about it. So just wanted to pass it on. Overall, I definitely think these speakers were worth the money.
