I bought these headphones to use with my iPhone as a backup pair. In terms of speaking and answering calls, they have pure audio quality and I've never had complaints of being hard to hear. While many headphones now come with microphones, I wanted to keep my better ones and buy a cheap pair just for calls. I wouldn't recommend it just for listening to music. They lack treble clarity and the bass isn't very present or tight. Overall not the clearest or best listening experience, a bit tinny and short range. Monoprice makes a lot of great headphones. So if you just want to listen to music check out the 108320, 108322, 109396, they are all great and great value for money. In addition, the build quality of these headphones is ultra-cheap plastic. Good care for my headphones but I still don't see them lasting long. There's no metal body like other headphones (except for the 820s, but the build quality is still much better). In short, only buy for the microphone.
