I was pleasantly surprised at how good they sound. These headphones are really good at blocking out external noise and reproducing sound with amazing fidelity. I listen to podcasts more than music, and I hear all the little noises that can come with recording a podcast (whether you like it or not, that's your problem). I bought these headphones to use with my iPhone as a backup pair. In terms of speaking and answering calls, they have pure audio quality and I've never had complaints of being hard to hear.
