This is an amazing railing. I wanted to install a railing from 4x4 and 2x4. I saw it, read the reviews and said I'd give it a try. One of my best investments. It turned out to be a lot cheaper than the wooden one I was trying to build and installed in 20 minutes. Perfect measurements are a must, I put mine on and the bottom portion was torn off about a quarter of an inch. My trailer's siding is not smooth, it's like the vinyl siding in your house. Due to the cutout in the fairing, the lower bracket now has a gap where the handle enters the U-shaped bracket. I was able to fix this by making a recess in the siding. The pen box was damaged during shipping. I was sure I had the missing parts, but it's really just a handle and six screws in a plastic bag. (Only four screws are used according to the instructions, the other two are used if you use the back plate for support). I tip my hat to the manufacturer - they advised to wrap the bag around the handle and fasten it with staples. The handle folds and locks in three positions - left, right and straight. Except for the torn box (thanks UPS) I am very satisfied.
