I carve the head of lettuce for my salads entirely by hand and it's a bit tedious. I found out about this device and ordered it. The first time I tried it I got a quick cut right head of lettuce. I cut along the guides and then rotated the top piece of plastic 45 degrees for the cross section. It wasn't easy, and with a slightly better design it would have been a lot easier. But I'm happy as a beat. Now I can cut a head of lettuce in minutes, and it turns out a lot better than doing it with my hands. Easy to clean.
