On paper it looked like an easy to use, inexpensive remote control for my media center. However, the following usability aspects together are the crucial factors. 1) The navigation bar around the OK button is thin and has little feedback. I often have to press the big OK button when navigating. 2) The battery cover is difficult to remove. Given the short battery life, you'll have to do this often enough to be an inconvenience. 3) There is a very slight transmission lag, which is most noticeable when using the keyboard. Click the button and wait for it to register. Any IR remote is noticeably faster. 4) The keyboard is uncomfortable during normal use. I end up accidentally pressing the buttons while navigating the menu. If you don't use the keyboard often, this seems to be an issue. 5) The air mouse option is useless for using the media center. Moving the remote in the air without hand assistance is more difficult than simply navigating menus with the buttons. 6) The activity light flashes when the remote control is active, it looks unnatural and distracting. Why flicker? For starters, there is no point in lighting it and if it is there, why not light it normally, like all the other devices we use. For these reasons I shortened this remote control and sent it back.
