As a longtime Ehiem user, I've decided to take it a step further. This easy-to-remove pre-filter is an industry breakthrough. With the weekly water change you can easily remove the pre-filter without opening the main body of the filler and simply rinse the sponges with tap water as this is your pre-filter and you are not touching the main body. in which all your biological carriers are located. I have had this filter for 2 months now. I do a weekly filter pre-clean without touching the main filter chamber. The filter also accommodates an Oase heater, eliminating the need to place it in the tank. For me it is a great flow and a dead silence comparable to Ehiems.
