Very strong frame
Only downside would be more crossbars. The distance between them is 4.5 inches. 3 inches would be better. That's just my opinion and doesn't really matter. The rest of the bed frame is made of stronger metal. We got along very well. There are simple pictorial plans to follow. Good strong hex bolts and oriental threads. I put a 10 inch gel mattress on it and I think it fits perfectly. To give you an idea, my mattress (10 inches) is 0.5 inches higher than the footstool. So 12 inches might work for some people too. . Of course, it also looks good with a thinner mattress. Tonight I will sleep on it for the first time. I don't expect any problems.
