My previous pen head was worn down to the metal due to a failed experiment with a textured screen cover. It got to the point where the brushes didn't respond when the pen moved from a certain direction. After receiving them in the mail, all I had to do was unscrew the old tip and attach the new one. All functionality was instantly restored - I can draw in any direction on the canvas, there is no jitter in pressure sensitivity and the pen responds exactly as it did the day I bought it.
