I was afraid to dye my hair at home. I watched many online videos on how to do this and finally settled on John Freed because it looked the easiest and only required one step. I think I made the right decision. My barber even said it looked good and he could make a lot of money if I'm wrong. I've used it three times already. The color lasts, it's easy to use, it doesn't smell bad and it works exactly as they say. Follow the instructions! I use the conditioner that comes with the kit once a week as directed and add John Frieda Gloss about every two weeks.
