The set contains 3 kitchen sponges in different bright colors. One side of the scrub is rough and abrasive while the other side is soft. The sanding side is slightly rough and has some shiny threads. This side is ideal for rinsing pots and pans and also helps remove food residue and oil. Although it's the abrasive side, it doesn't leave scratches on the pans, which is good. The other side is soft and fluffy and can be used to clean cutlery, ceramic or stoneware. A few drops of dish soap creates a lot of suds to clean a lot of dishes. These are super absorbent sponges with a loop for hanging to dry. I've found washing these sponges to be a problem and no matter how much you wash, the soap in the sponges doesn't wash off completely. I just rinse these sponges and hang them to dry.
