One of the things I've been looking forward to is bulbs that don't require a hub and that I can control entirely through Alexa. I thought these bulbs would do the trick, but after connecting them to our Wi-Fi, I found that you can only control the colors with a third-party app. Although this might not seem like such a big deal. , everything else in our house is controlled by voice. The whole purpose of our purchase was to be able to control the color of the light by setting the scene via Alexa, just like you can with Hue lights. Unfortunately, after playing with it for many minutes, I couldn't think of any other way to set the scene other than turning the light on and off. I guess we'll have to wait for something else to come (maybe it's just an app update?). However, it is disappointing :(.
