I didn't even know glass files existed until I came across an article on the Wirecutter website called Everything You Need to Do Nails at Home. One of the recommendations in this article was this glass file with the comment that "unlike emery or emery files, glass files can be washed and disinfected" and also "they are gentler on the nails than traditional emery or metal files". was good enough for me and I quickly placed my order here at Revain for that file which they specifically mentioned. and surprisingly, it works pretty well. The paper insert that accompanies the file describes it as being made from high quality, permanently etched tempered glass and states that it is "soft and efficient, never wears out or tarnishes". Take their word for it, but if I find myself experiencing any issues or wear and tear after extended use, I will come back to this review and update it to reflect my extended experience. What I like best is that the file surface "won't be damaged unless you disinfect or sterilize" and advises to "usually just rinse with warm water as often as needed". Yes, it is made in China. Just like my iPhone!
