Updated to add: I've tried it on cardboard and it works great so I think it does what it says BUT the specs should include some THICKNESS MEASUREMENTS of what it would not be cut/won and/or are best suited in place of examples of materials that can have any thickness. Also, cutting 1/8 inch to the edge of the material is still too close. Original Review: I bought this to cut TerraSlate 7mil paper, which I know very well isn't as thick as the cork wood it's supposed to cut. I chose this variant because of the Fiskars name/reputation. The picture speaks for itself - this was our third attempt so it doesn't look like this thing has been overused or overused. For what it's worth, our first try was plain paper and it did a great job, but this one costs more for "thick" stuff. Don't waste your money. Also, when cutting out printed material, remember that you will need to pre-cut the material VERY tightly before cutting it out. Again, see picture. I wasn't expecting it to be a "anywhere" hit, but damn it, 1/4" doesn't seem like too much?! Give it back.
