I love this box, just fill the tray, let the water freeze and gently drip into the box but the lid won't come off. Is it for the dice tray not the box and then the dice tray? if you accidentally place the tray on a dirty surface and place the tray on completely clean, freshly frozen ice. Well the tray's on hold, uh-uh! Like me, I have pets and from time to time they don't always stand on the counter and meow at meals or when your kids leave their dirty things in the kitchen and you don't know. So what I do is, just to be safe, the ice goes in the lid of the box, it doesn't fit in the box, but I use it to close the box, the ice tray is on top. defeats the purpose, but I prefer to be safer that way. Just look at the picture, she will understand too.
