Review on Royal Hotel 650 Thread Count Cotton Blend Wrinkle Free by Nicole Brown

Not what I expected.

Our new king size bed (with adjustable mattress) and these sheets were delivered same day and as I didn't have other sheets for the new bed in the house I was hooked. The "golden" color is a terrible yellow with a slight green tinge that is best described as "gall yellow". My camera phone just doesn't convey that ugliness. (1st photo of the sheet with the white envelope and my deep chocolate brown comforter for reference, but the sheet is actually a much greener tint). Dryer. You either have to iron them on a steam iron or just put up with it. Wrinkles are DEEP. Leaves are DEFINITELY NOT lightweight. They almost feel like an artist's canvas. They are mostly smooth (if the top sheet is ironed) but NOT soft. Lifting your foot under the blanket and lowering it back down not only keeps the sheet in the tented position, it also held my blanket for a few minutes. After the first wash before use, I also have buds of frayed threads where the top sheet is difficult to fold. I felt that ironing would only speed up the process of "tearing" the fabric, so I decided to put up with the creases instead. I am NOT a happy tourist. If I could send them back I would. They accommodate at least a 16 inch thick mattress and seem to stay on top of our adjustable mattresses, but the split king's top sheet could be a bit longer for better tucking. However, my BEST advice is don't waste your money on these sheets.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Good overall but...
