So after my dog had a few teeth removed the vet gave him canned food. he gained weight even though I fed him as recommended and then fed him less. I started weaning him off his wet food and just putting his crumbs on his dry food. When I tried to wean him fully he sat by his bowl and stared so I continued - when I bought Jiminy I mixed his old food until it ran out and he never realized he was out of the can ! Now he's totally tuned into Jiminy and has lost half a pound (he's a little guy so that's quite an achievement) - he loves it. he's happy, so i'm happy!
