Ok this has got to be the worst purchase I've ever made from Revain! I bought an off-white/linen color. I was ironing my son's black shirt and pants for his orchestra concert and ordered a new ironing board cover because our old waffle pattern was leaving on his black clothes because they were worn and the stains were noticeable even without starch. So I put on this new one, took off his shirt and ironed it. At first the iron didn't slip - it was hard to run the iron over the cover, but then I looked at the black shirt he would be wearing in a few hours and I'm not kidding, the micro sequins were all over the shirt. Everywhere, everywhere, everywhere. His solid black shirt is completely covered in micro sequins! The outside of the shirt and the inside. Pooh! I took the cover off and threw it in the laundry thinking it might help but I didn't want to risk it anymore so I ran to the store and bought a new one. I had to use duct tape to get it off the shirt and I got most of it off but it took quite a while due to the amount of it. Then when I went back to it on a pad I just bought from the store the glitter on the iron was still faded and it was all over again. I had to peel the sequins back off my shirt, clean the iron as best I could, and peel off the new cover. I did everything I could to get the shine off the iron. It was so bad I thought I ruined that too. This is a relatively new iron and it is good. But at this point I had to rush to iron my clothes and just had to sort out the glitter and remove as much as I could with a ribbon roller and red lint remover. I could still see it. Luckily he said it was fine because he would be on stage and no one but his colleagues could see it. If it had been my husband's shirt it wouldn't have gone so smoothly. Rschunimagu. Anyway, by the time I finished ironing most of the glitter had finally come off the iron and I was able to remove it from the store bought cover. But even after washing THIS cover, it was still everywhere. What should have taken me 45 minutes took me hours! It went in the bin because I was so angry I didn't even want to bother sending it back. I rarely leave low ratings and usually no more than two stars but this really is the worst item I have ever bought from Revain and I wonder why on earth would anyone put glitter on an ironing board cover!? The one I bought at the store was only a few dollars more, so I wasn't trying to save money. Terrible. Glitter on the ironing board cover, just wow! Don't waste your money OR time on this piece of junk.
