I literally hate this product! Okay, about the smell, it smells a bit odd, but it's not bad or harsh, just different. My hair type is pretty weird because it depends on whether I have front or back hair. Each part of my hair has a different texture. So, my hair is 3c-4b, the hair gel should give my hair a weighted curl and strong hold, but no way! It smelled more and honestly it didn't frizz or hold my hair anymore. I was like an upside down mushroom! The edge gel is ok, it's just very strong! At the end of the day I have to wash it off my face in the shower because it won't wash me off. In general, I did not buy and not a big fan at all.
