Although billed as the original lava lamp, I have two classic vintage lava lamps. They use bulbs with the same thread size as any standard household bulb. They are designed for the much smaller threaded sockets you will find in a night light or chandelier. It's annoying that it's not listed. Maybe the base E17 refers to that, but it's not a technical detail that buyers should be aware of.
- 3. It is bright enough to light your lava lamp, it heats up and melts the wax/oil to keep your lava lamp going.
