Be careful! Check the size.

Although billed as the original lava lamp, I have two classic vintage lava lamps. They use bulbs with the same thread size as any standard household bulb. They are designed for the much smaller threaded sockets you will find in a night light or chandelier. It's annoying that it's not listed. Maybe the base E17 refers to that, but it's not a technical detail that buyers should be aware of.

Doesn't work like original bulb.

. They say they are 25w bulbs and they are for lava lamps but they definitely don't get hot like the original bulbs. I will return them soon. This bulb is the same wattage as the one I took out. It's just not hot enough. In the original, the lamp would run for about 30 minutes, then it lasts at least an hour or more. There's always 75 in the house and we live in Florida. There is no reason why it should take so long to heat up.

I bought a lava lamp a few weeks ago and I was very happy with it! When I found out a few weeks later, less than a month later, that the regular bulb was defective, I immediately went in search of a replacement and received it the next day!
