Works as described. I installed it on my Dodge Caliber with an upgraded Boston audio system with a factory amp built in and it worked. I found out I needed it after installing a new head, but no sound came out of the speakers. Please note that if you purchase this item and have a factory sound system with an amplifier and CAN bus, you may not be able to use your new radio's speaker wires as this will produce a loud hiss. If you have made all the connections and are hearing a loud hiss, consider using the RCA speaker outputs on your new radio. If you try to use the speaker wires coming from the radio wiring harness you are trying to send an amplified signal from your new radio to the car amplifier which will create noise. If you have a factory fitted amplifier, use the RCA outputs on the new radio wired directly to this module to eliminate noise. I only wish this information was included in the instructions. I hope this little information will save you some headaches. :-)
