Great Control: Solar and Wind Power

New to solar power and "learning" towards making a stand alone solar aerator for my pond. I bought the kit off eBay and used the cheap charge controller that came with it. I had no plans to replace until he died. I know the MPPT chargers should be better and more efficient, but my goodness they were $$$. It was the best value that met my needs and didn't break the bank. Based on the reviews, I had no qualms about buying a fake MPPT controller because of the price. The fake ones were still much cheaper in price, which caused alarm. This controller is of good quality. I love displays. Being able to see when solar panels are producing, how much, battery stats etc etc makes everything so easy and enjoyable. The readings shown matched my voltmeter readings, so I am happy with the quality of this product. I have no high tech equipment, recorded statistics, or anything else that would support the following statement as fact. I went out several times a day and read the battery level with a volt meter and an inverter gauge because it was my new toy. But since switching to this charger my batteries are recovering faster and my nightly check after almost sundown shows more juice in the tank than with any other charger. I am very happy with the purchase. The remote control is good but intended for indoor use as it's not weatherproof so I don't use it. Learning solar energy is expensive! Lol Even with this efficient charger I found my 1100w panel wasn't producing enough power to run the pump and keep the batteries charged. So now I expand to 3 panels. If I need to upgrade to 4, this charger gives me that option. Just for your information. When you decide to tinker with solar panels it almost becomes an obsession and what at first seemed like a not very expensive project/experiment will quickly add up as it becomes an almost human challenge to Mother Nature, the energy needed to use. . Leaving would mean giving up! Rzhunimagu! I have no regrets taking part in this solar adventure as it is a fun hobby for me and once I get the formula right it will give me up to 3000 watts of power to the back of my property. The prices of panels and all the necessary equipment have fallen sharply, so what the heck. Just do your research first and I would definitely spend small upfront fees on this MPPT controller. This was the best value for money MPPT controller I found after a month of research. We are discussing another solar project and will definitely buy another of these controllers.
