Review on 🦈 SharkBite U088LFA Lead Free Straight Connector: 3/4-Inch FNPT Connection - High Quality Plumbing Fitting by Mark Green

I have used many SharkBite components. They usually work well on static connections. I've used SharkBite for SharkBite, SharkBite Tee, and SharkBite MNPT. It all works great. However, this FNPT connection is very poorly designed. It is non-tapered and comes without a washer or gasket to prevent leakage from the FNPT side. Worse still, there is no surface to press on with a washer or gasket. I have tried various combinations of washers and pipe sealant but have not been able to stop the leaks. The only way to stop the leaks was to wrap a large amount of Teflon tape around the threads. I'm not entirely sure about that and will have to keep an eye on it. I'll probably have to replace it with something else.
