Review on Biohome Ultimate Filter Media Aquarium by Sharonda Guzman

I like Biohome Ultimate but you have to use the recommended amount for nitrate reduction and take your time. I have 5 pounds for my tightly filled 55 gallons. Throughout the year I can't say I get zero nitrates (25% pwc weekly) but the nitrates are well controlled and never go above 30-40ppm. I'm increasing Biohome Ultimate to 4kg to see if I get any further reductions. Also, buy your biohome direct from Great Wave Engineering as it is half the price and the customer service is excellent. Visit their website for information on the amount of Biohome consumed, which depends on your stock levels. Do not buy an external filter based on the size of your aquarium, but based on your stock.
