This charger doesn't bug my older, weaker AA batteries like others do, allowing me to use it in clocks or low power devices. And it automatically detects what battery chemistry is being loaded into the charging port, proceeds to charge, and displays the charge voltage and percentage. It also measures mAh to give you an idea if your battery has enough capacity. I have a lot of Li-ion 18650 batteries salvaged from bad power tool kits that power my flashlights etc and this works for that too. So if you're a battery control freak like me, or just want to keep your batteries charged, this covers a huge list of sizes, although 9V and D batteries are excluded. Power requires a USB port, it comes with Micro USB and USB-C cables (no power adapter) and the charger has 3 inputs, 1 for each USB-C, Micro USB and Lightning.
