Unfortunately this is the only back brace I have tried and I have tried several and I think it would work. However, I am very small at just under 4ft 10" and the back of the device is very long. It has very well defined drops. So if I wrap it properly around the scraps it leaves a lot of excess material that just folds and offers no support. I thought about sewing the fold on my sewing machine, but since it's very thick and almost frothy, I don't know if that would work or just ruin it completely. Most of these correctors are so stuck under my armpits that I can't wear them for long. For some reason it's not uncomfortable, although it fits snugly under my armpits. I'm disappointed that there isn't a choice of back lengths and for that reason I can't give it a 5 star rating. If I was a few inches taller I might have rated it a lot better.
