Worth the extra cost for life jackets

I was hesitant to buy such an expensive PDF (Puppy Floating Device) but it's my best friend and well worth the money. I bought the much cheaper life jacket when he was younger and was difficult to put on and never felt comfortable. The Ruffwear PFD is easy to put on (she actually sticks her head in the front collar) and adjustment was quick and easy. It fits well, although when you lay it down the back sticks up giving the impression that it doesn't fit properly. The waist straps are rollable and have a nice Velcro closure to keep them from rolling up. The only problem is that the roller is a bit too big and sometimes when she pees on her back you get a bit wet. It's fine, and once it stops growing the strap can be cut to prevent twisting. The size appears to be accurate. In the photos he is 4 months old, weighs about 22 pounds and has a chest measurement of about 21 inches. He wears a small size, the neck collar is as small as possible, and I had to lengthen the harness and back straps. about 2.5 cm to fit properly. There's still plenty of room to grow. The Ruffwear life jacket is well made and promises years of service. I am very happy with this purchase.
