So this light is AMAZING. I got it because I needed some light in rural Pennsylvania and it seemed to fit the bill. When I lit it, holy cow! This thing isn't just a flashlight. This is Gavdang LASER. (I'm pretty sure these are surplus old SDI satellites used to launch Russian missiles.) It has two settings; TURBO BLAST is powerful and simply powerful. Each setting is at a different distance, but both are really sharp, focused beams. It also has a USB port for charging mobile phones. It will easily illuminate a hillside a half mile away and possibly further. Personal anecdote: With Nor'Easter just hitting Pennsylvania, this thing kept the lights on in my house and charged my cell phone and proved invaluable when the power went out (thanks, PEKO!) If you think about it, DO IT! This is a ton of flashlight for very little money.
