This thing served me for about 2 years, until the black coating of the cable was erased and it failed. It was in a construction truck with me in North Dakota and Montana, through hot summers, freezing winters, dust, hits with tools and a bag and so on in the cab. It transmits a signal qualitatively and charges the iPod well. I got my money's worth and will be buying more Scosche products.
