We have just moved into a new building and immediately installed an internet/modem/router in our second floor bedroom/office as we both work from home and needed to get to work quickly. But besides our work computers, we also have other devices that need an internet connection that are in places where we can't easily connect them with an internet cable. Since then we've had problems with these downstairs devices not getting a strong enough signal from our 2nd floor wifi router even though our internet is fiber optic. Our walls and insulation were too thick for even our highly rated wireless router to penetrate. So we tried a couple of WiFi range extenders between devices and while that improved the signal a bit, it was still very weak and the signal dropped out from time to time. It was very uncomfortable. So we researched further on the internet and found an AC 2100 Rockspace repeater that was something new and advertised a stronger signal and decided to give it a try. We immediately noticed a significant improvement in receiving signals to other wireless devices. And so far we haven't had any disconnects. This was our third wi-fi repeater but this third time was adorable for us! I highly recommend this extension if you have problems with very thick walls or insulation.
