I have a 2008 Toyota Sienna Van and have put off installing a backup camera due to the difficulty of routing wires to the tailgate. But this wireless camera saves 75 percent of the work. All I installed was in the back door itself. I screwed the camera to the license plate and routed the cable through the license plate light grommet. The rear panel of the tailgate detaches, exposing all the wiring for the brake and reversing lights. I attached wires to one of the backup lights to connect the camera wires. Then I replaced the plate and glued the transmitter to it. After that, all I had to do was attach the screen to the windshield with a suction cup and plug it into an outlet. As soon as I put it in reverse, the rear camera came on. There is a pairing button, but I didn't need it. The camera has an excellent field of view with lines showing markers at five, three and a foot and a half. Best of all, the night vision is very bright, much better than the factory backup camera on my 2017 BMW. Very happy with this purchase.
