So I have a couple of 1 liter stainless steel bottles and they are very similar to the Rambo style survival knife philosophy, it's great and very functional but so big and bulky I just leave it at home in the end. Then you don't have it when you need it. This was the case with the 1 liter self-service bottles, so I only used a disposable plastic bottle. Not the end of the world, but I needed the versatility of a steel cylinder just in case. I admit that titanium is a luxury. However, I am a firm believer in crying once and buying forever. Due to the slightly reduced volume and thinner dimensions, I keep it in my backpack and will use it every day. Another thing is that I wanted an all metal (or titanium) construction, not a plastic construction. The top is titanium with a silicone ring to prevent leakage. Good quality. The ring at the top for fastening is strong. This was a deal breaker with other bottles I had considered before settling on this one. I've read reviews of how others have bent or even broken off. I think this ring will hold up well. As for the bottle itself, it is well made. There are no obvious seams and the bottle is light but strong. The width of the mouth is perfect, not too big and not too small. The case appears to be of good construction and could buy you a little more chill time. It also absorbs condensation due to sweat issues, so that's a good thing, and offers some protection from dents. Personally, I wanted a one-wall construction so that I could cook and cook in it if necessary. I don't care if it doesn't keep my water ice cold for hours. If I want, I use a double-walled bottle. The bottle makes a solid impression. I would recommend this bottle if that's your mood for the reasons above. Be safe!LD
