Rise of the Talking Dogs!

Following in the footsteps of speech therapist Christina Hunger and her dog Stella (@hunger4words on IG), I bought these for my French Bulldog puppy. She is 16 weeks old and is getting used to it very quickly! I've already bought a second pack so we can add more words to her board. Another reviewer mentioned that it would be better if the write/erase button was on the bottom or that a stylus had to be pressed (like the reset buttons on some devices), and I can't help but agree. My dog has already deleted a few words by accidentally pressing the side button. They're not hard to rewrite, but still. It would also be nice if, in a future design, you no longer needed a tiny screwdriver to open the battery compartment. The sound quality isn't the best, you have to actually pronounce certain letter sounds to be heard. The sound quality is not 100% consistent either. Some keys pick up sounds louder or softer despite being recorded under the same conditions and at the same distance from the microphone. But they all work perfectly and I still LOVE them! They are great for our needs. I am so thrilled that my dog can tell me exactly what he wants.

Pros
  • High marks for hold and durability from testers
Cons
  • Nothing here
