I've had mine for about a year now and have used it on about 15 dives. Started with a short pole but wished I had something that would allow my camera to get close to certain things (eels, rays, lionfish, etc) without hurting the rest of me. The only problem was that there really wasn't anything telescopic up to that point and I obviously didn't want to deal with a 3ft pole hanging on me when I wasn't using it. That completely covers all my bases. It's long enough that you don't have to worry about getting a little too close, but when folded it's not too big to get in the way. I use a clip on bungee to attach it to my BC so I don't have to worry about dropping it when in or out of use. Another nice bonus is that you can also turn your GoPro camera towards you at any time to take some nice underwater selfies. Update: After a few dozen saltwater dives (despite being rinsed each time) it loses its structural integrity. The adhesive will begin to spread around the plastic flanges, making it difficult to bend and pinch.
