Review on 🔍 Advanced 20X20X1 Pleated Furnace Filters for Enhanced Filtration and HVAC Efficiency by Jay Matlock

I purchased this product for use as a test and rating. This product was no different from the MERV1-7 product which is normally designed as a pre-filter to filter out our large particles. This product was opened to measure the filtration efficiency. The MERV13 product requires filtration of smaller particles such as bacteria and must be able to filter >98% of >0.3 micron particles. The filter material in this product is so porous that I'm not sure if it can filter anything. As I have already disassembled the item I cannot return it at this time. In general, MERV must use 13 meltblown filter media to achieve this high filtration efficiency. (I have access to product filtration efficiency testing tools that I was able to use. I measured a filtration efficiency of only 3% for 0.3 micron particles at a flow rate of 85 L/min versus a requirement of >98 % ).
