I bought these for my face as I use cold cream to remove makeup. Regular washcloths were fine, but the ones I had were falling apart from so much use. I read on a skin care blog that microfiber is much gentler on the skin. Wow what a difference! They are so soft and absorbent. I bought the black ones so they don't get dirty with makeup. I can't comment on durability as I've only been using it for a month. The fabric color runs down the sink a bit but it hasn't affected my linens or anything.
