I have Coke High Speed Internet and subscribe to 150MB/s. Speed My desktop has Wi-Fi and when I tested on speedtest.net I only got 40 to 50 MB/s. I called my ISP and they told me to connect an ethernet cable. I accidentally had Cat 5 lying around so I plugged it in and got 80-120MB/sec. Still not satisfied because I'm paying 150MB/sec. So I ordered this Cat 6 Ethernet cable and lo and behold, I get 140 to 170 MB/s. At first I thought a cable was a cable but there was a big difference from category 5 to category 6. I can't speak for others but yes this category 6 cable had a huge impact on my speed test which is why I gave it a 5 gave stars. Now I'm happy because I get the speed I pay for.
