Uses 3M type double sided tape so it will stick and hold but I haven't stored it long enough to see how it would perform with extended use. This is how your laptop is kicked, lifted and tilted. The problem is that the hinge doesn't really have a locking/safety function so it's not stable and if you move the laptop while the leg is hooked the hinge will collapse and the laptop will fall onto the table top. I tore off the tape - well, destroyed it, removed it and sent it back. I'm hoping they add some sort of stability/locking mechanism to the hinge. So I don't recommend buying it unless you hate your laptop and need your work to get a new one.
