Bought because I had some pool anchors buried in the mulch at the back of the pool that I couldn't find. I was able to find and pinpoint their location within a minute of approaching their general location. It also comes in handy when I'm looking for studs in the wall, because once I find the screw that attaches it to the post, I scan down vertically to find another one to confirm it's not is an incorrect measurement. This helped find the rivets to hang things on the wall. An excellent well made product in a solid body that feels good in the hand.
