It takes a light touch to unwind the strings, but once you get the hang of them, they unwind easily. There was a loop of cord between the two wires before the first light in the cord, which was odd. Otherwise everything was fine. The soft lighting of the entire room is fully on; fully dimmed gives a soft glow that's just right.
