The Forerunner 245 was made of durable yet flexible plastic and was easy to install. The looks of the device don't deteriorate, and if you don't know how to look for it, you might think that it has always been there, it's already worth it to me. I'm a bit clumsy and sometimes when I'm carrying laundry, boxes or whatever, I can bang my wrist on a door frame or wall. I've already scratched the thing twice and it's holding up well. This definitely gives me confidence that the ForeRunner will last. My only concern is water getting between the lid and the ForeRunner. So far it's not a problem as I don't swim and I don't sweat much, but it gives me food for thought. Don't worry, the ForeRunner is waterproof.
