This product may be compatible with a Brother printer but the quality of the results is very poor. After a few prints, a message will appear on your monitor prompting you to replace the drum. Now you've only used the printer a few times since you just installed it. You ignore the message because you just changed it and continue using the printer. After a few weeks, you will see dark lines along the edge of the paper after printing. Depending on how often you use the printer, a 1/2 inch black line will appear about 2 inches from the edge of the paper. Meanwhile, you still get a message about replacing the drum. After a month of using the drum, your brother's printer just stops printing. Because of the price I paid for it I bought 2 of these. A few weeks after replacing the drum, everything happened again. Brother printers should only be used with their own products as the print quality etc just doesn't work properly on fakes. I do not recommend this product in Brother printers. It is better to pay for expensive drum and printer toner for good quality.
