Review on 🐶 Merrick Lil Plates: Nourishing Small Breed Dry Dog Food with Real Meat by Dawn Miranda

I am revising my five star rating to one star. Not sure if it's the ingredients or the manufacturing process, but something about this food has changed and it's not good. I called the company a few months ago and received no information or effective help. I bought another pack that was better than the previous pack but something was still wrong and the next new pack is even worse. My dog used to love this food but now she is reluctant to eat it and even refuses to eat it which is unprecedented. because she eats everything. The appearance of the food itself used to have a slight sheen, was very even with no crumbs and was otherwise attractive. For the past few months, the bagged food I've bought from Revain and also from my local pet store has been looking dry and dull. The pieces are not homogeneous, somewhat crumbly. I usually add a teaspoon of water, which didn't change the texture before, but now the food turns to a pulp in less than a minute. The final drop is that since the very first meal of the latest pack I received from Revain, my dog's bowel movements have increased significantly. Even if the change is benign, the larger bowel movements tell me she's not getting the nutritional benefits she should be getting from food. That, plus the fact that she no longer likes the food she's been eating regularly for over two years, means it's time for a change. I canceled my subscription to this food and will change it as soon as possible. I don't blame Revain because the bags from my local shop are the same. Very disappointed in Merrick.
