1. Will not soften. (Actually makes things rougher. How can that be?) 2. Leaves a weird greasy compound that smears onto anything the fabric touches. Put simply, it's a fragrance. It makes your clothes a little rougher than without fabric softener, and getting out of the shower to use a towel treated with it is awful. All my clothes are so rough and I had to wash everything to get rid of the rough texture. However, the clear fat-like substance is really weird. I don't know why they added it or what it is for. But why should we be deprived of the ability to wash windows or dry the car with a cloth treated with this substance? So strange.
