When I first got these I thought they were really cool. The lights looked good and it was great that they turned themselves on so I didn't have to fiddle with them with dirty hands. However, in less than a month, one of them ran out of batteries and the other half. the dead. Even though I read the instructions and positioned them so the sensors could only pick up movement directly under the lights, they still triggered far too often. After a while I realized that I had shiny objects on my counter and the light was reflecting off the shiny objects when someone walked across the room. While it's nice to have a light when you're working behind the counter, you don't necessarily need it every time you put something down, but they don't know the difference. I ended up replacing them with two packs. universal LED battery lights that I found at the hardware store for half the price. Now I have to press a button to turn on the light, but if I think ahead it doesn't matter and new ones don't use batteries. I haven't thrown these lights away, but I'm not sure where I'm going to use them so I don't have to worry about reflections making them stand out.
