First let me say that you cannot use the grill indoors due to smoke issues. I already knew that from previous indoor grills. A frying pan is great for indoor use because when making pancakes etc the fat doesn't drip and you use a lower temperature. No grill is easy to clean and this one is no exception. Especially hard in a standard size kitchen sink. However, I have a few tricks to make this easier. 1. Order George Foreman grill cleaning sponges. They have grooves and remove grill residue really quickly.2. Clean the grill immediately after use when it has cooled down. If you wait until the next day, the oil will be very difficult to clean.3. Cover the tray completely with foil. Then place another layer of foil directly on top. Cleaning this part is easy. Remove the top layer of foil. The double layer ensures that nothing penetrates the real pot.4. Buy a ZEP degreaser. I buy it from Home Depot and keep it in a spray bottle. Spray this on the rust and all the details. Leave on for a few minutes, rub, then rinse with regular dish soap. It really removes dirt. It still takes some time to clean up, but the food I cook on this grill is awesome to say the least. Both vegetables and meat were heavenly. Pictured are small zucchini and a chicken wing which was my "sample wing" to make sure I seasoned them well. The grill holds 2 pounds of wings at a time. Enjoy
